A qualitative, multiple case study design examining the association between an SSI-embedded experiential environmental education course and post-secondary students' environmental behaviors. Seven students were purposefully selected and three exemplar students are the focus of the study. The results indicate an association between how students conceptualized contentious environmental issues and their environmental behaviors. Additionally, students demonstrated changes in their socioscientific reasoning (SSR) after completing the course.
