Thesis (M.S.)--California State University, Long Beach, 2015.
Today's healthcare is a continually changing paradigm and it requires services that can be flexible to address the needs of the community. The underprivileged population coupled with the lack of healthcare education, access to services and treatment has presented a significant challenge for the healthcare industry. Mobile Wellness, a community benefit service provided on behalf of Cedars Sinai Health System, offers a unique combination of preventative healthcare services, education, testing and referrals to low income individuals in the Cedars Sinai service area, primarily West Hollywood, Los Angeles and Beverly Hills. By addressing the health care needs of community the goal is to decrease the susceptibility for diseases such as cancer, diabetes and hypertension. This business plan will show how Mobile Wellness intends to address these needs by increasing community awareness and education while sustaining financial sustainability.
