All educators come across problems every day when they are teaching. One of the issues they come across is how to teach English Language Learners (ELL) when those students have little or no English. This article explores how educators can communicate concepts with English Language Learners through the use of music throughout the day. It discusses how music helps set the tone for the class room, helps with classroom management, and possibly help with physical development. The strategies discussed here are research based strategies for use in classrooms from Pre-k to secondary level. Most of these strategies have been utilized by several educators in the classroom.
