Thesis (M.A.)--Southern Methodist University, 2015.
Japanese cinema of the 1960s had a particular genre called Ninkyo eiga highlighting the secret fraternal traditions of Yakuza Ninkyo Dantai, and three films highlight the way in which these fraternities of pirates and racketeers transformed into modern police. Analogously the same transformation took place from Cosa Nostra sicilian clans and Sinn Fein's irish clans into the police once Sir Robert Peel invented police in 1829. Japan has more correctly preserved a more pirate approach to police and their police don't have the same problems as irish and italian police as evident in popular cinema. This paper calls for a brand new kind of criticism based in Pirate Party International's economically transparent model of evaluation.
