Eleven participants in the study were recruited from the Morrisville Aquatic and Recreation Center. Participants in the study were provided a demographic questionnaire, protocol/ interview questionnaire, and open ended questions during the focus group interviews. Furthermore, participants were asked to describe their experiences of falling, barriers towards Tai Chi they experienced, as well as their participation in Tai Chi exercise. Data was analyzed using the Constant Comparative Method. The researcher found that TC was effective in reducing falls and fear of falling, stress levels, pain as a result of arthritis, and increased self-esteem and social activities.
