Whole-chain traceability is the core component in the agriculture/food chain to track any disease outbreak. In this whole-chain traceability several sensitive data is shared and stored in the third party by several producer and consumer, so there will be a need to encrypt data stored at these sites. One drawback of encrypting data is that it can be shared selectively only at a coarse-grained level (i.e., giving another party your private key). The work proposed here is to design an architecture that gives enough trust to the producer to upload the data to the cloud. The producers need to be assured of their data safety. Standard encryption is inefficient when selectively sharing data with many people, since the data needs to be reencrypted using every user's public key. To assure the producer control over access to their data record, the proposed architecture using Attribute Based Encryption techniques is a promising method to more efficiently encrypt the data record before sharing it.
