Educating teenage mothers is difficult for even the best prepared schools and educators; however, not providing educational services to teenage mothers has detrimental effects on the teenage mother and her child. Teen Mother Choices (TMC) is a program in north suburban Chicago, Illinois, that offers services that focus on the human capital and spiritual asset development of the teenage mother. Using lived experiences, file reviews of past members, an interview with the founder, and my personal experience with teenage mothers not in the program, I evaluated the effectiveness of a program that incorporates spiritual development with human capital development. This research can be used by school leaders to evaluate how well their institution meets the needs of its learners.
