The focus of this case study is the implementation within the classroom of The Positive Discipline Model theorized by Fredric Jones. The Jones discipline model is based primarily on the concepts of behavior analysis principles and constructs. The model is concerned with the environment of the class and the control, or extinction, of those stimuli that do not elicit an optimal learning climate. Within the model, several principles combine to form a holistic view of how to achieve good classroom discipline and classroom management. The pieces that complete the puzzle of this model, either overt or covert in action, are limit setting, responsibility training, omission training, back-up response, the management structure and the structure of school time and classroom furniture.Subjects--Topical Terms:
