In health care, cloud computing provides the opportunity for health care providers to lower the total cost of information technology investment while still maintaining compliance with health care regulations. Cloud computing allows organizations to dynamically allocate resources and applications on-demand to meet the ever-changing business environment. However, its advantages and benefits are irrelevant if the technology is rejected by the users. The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors that influence the acceptance of cloud computing solutions by doctors and nurses working in hospitals across the United States. Hence, the research question is aimed to provide an understanding of (a) the relationship between perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude toward use, perceived risk, institutional trust, and intention to use and (b) the contribution value of the independent variables to the prediction of the outcome. This study contributes to the body of research on the acceptance of cloud computing in health care, which will be significant to health care decision makers and academic researchers. Quantitative research methodology utilizing the survey approach was employed. This study used an existing technology acceptance model survey instrument. Multiple linear regression technique was used for data analysis. The findings indicated that perceived usefulness, attitude toward use, and perceived ease of use significantly influenced users' intention to use cloud computing solutions. However, the same is not true for perceived risk and institutional trust. This study concluded with recommendations for future research.
