The merger and acquisition of companies affect corporate culture and shared beliefs of organizational members. This two-phase case study examined differences in culture among parent and acquired companies and the impact of merger and acquisition on corporate culture. The Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument was administered to 18 employees. An interview with eight managers from the central and acquired companies was conducted regarding cultural differences among these companies. The results of the study demonstrated the descriptive characteristics of culture and the valuable strategic emphases at the acquired and parent companies. Thematic analysis revealed the different views of corporate culture prior to acquisition, the process of cultural integration, and the impact of cultural changes on the acquired companies. The study provides information concerning merger and acquisition management that could benefit employees and assist global business performance.
