Although the relationship between other forgiveness and religion has been previously studied, less information is available on the relationship between self-forgiveness and religion. Most research on religious experiences of God has assessed a cognitive notion of experiencing God, rather than an emotional experience. Through the inclusion of the God Adjective Checklist, this study examines the relationship between the religious constructs of one's emotional experience of God, based on God images and God concepts, and self-forgiveness.
