The purpose of this study was to ascertain the predictive effect of servant leadership as practiced by the middle school leadership team on four areas essential to middle school success: school health, faculty and support staff attendance, student academic growth, and faculty and support staff job satisfaction. Five middle schools from across the state of Tennessee were selected through convenience sampling. Participants consisted of the principals, faculties, and support staff members of these five schools. Eighty-one participants completed Laub's (2013) Organizational Leadership Assessment, a 66-item, Likert-type survey in which the leadership of the school was rated on servant leadership characteristics. Faculty and staff job satisfaction and organizational health of the school were also measured through this instrument. The researcher also used faculty and staff attendance information kept by the schools' secretaries and Tennessee Value-Added Assessment System composite scores provided in the public domain by the Tennessee Department of Education (2013). Linear regression was used in the statistical analysis. Data analysis revealed servant leadership to be a statistically significant predictor of school health, student academic growth, and faculty and support staff job satisfaction. No statistically significant predictive relationship was seen between servant leadership and faculty and support staff attendance. The study revealed implications for middle school leaders, aspiring leaders, and educational researchers. Further implications involve servant-led schools being more successful in all areas. Healthier schools have greater academic growth, and schools with greater academic growth have greater job satisfaction among faculty and staff. Servant leadership, job satisfaction, academic growth, and school health complement one another in a positive predictive relationship.
