Thesis (M.S.)--Tarleton State University, 2013.
Soil tests were performed on core samples taken from Andrew's Bog in Gus Engeling Wildlife Management Area, Anderson County, Tx. Samples were tested for pyrophosphate color and fiber content. No significant difference in the amount of decomposition between the upper and lower peat was found, with the exception of the deepest samples taken which contained very well preserved peat. The direction of groundwater flow was determined to be from the northwest to the southeast, toward Catfish Creek. Well tests performed indicate that the upper peat is more permeable than the lower peat.
