We live in a time when the world is becoming more connected through technology and economies more interdependent. Employees in companies are travelling more to foreign locales to outsource business functions such as manufacturing, call centers and software development to offshore locations. This is also a time when due to slowing economies, the business world is focusing on innovation. This research focus is to study whether there is a connection between exposure to foreign culture and creativity, whether the exposure to foreign culture provides in and of itself a unique ability to be more creative. Here, foreign culture is intended to mean a culture that is foreign from the perspective of the individual or group being referenced.
