The purpose of this project was to write a grant for a prevention program in response to the high prevalence of child sexual abuse among the Latino population. A prevention program was developed to meet the needs of the targeted population. To fund this project, a potential funding source was identified with the Weingart Foundation and a grant application was completed. To support the need for this program, a literature review was completed for a better understanding of the social problem. The literature focused on the effects, risk-factors, prevention programs, and Latino cultural struggles associated with child sexual abuse. Actual submission and/or funding of this grant was not required for successful completion of this project.
