The purpose of this project was to write a grant proposal for an education program aimed to empower women of faith who are survivors of domestic violence. An all-encompassing review of literature was performed. The review identified the need for such a program and helped the grant writer recognize the importance of culture, and its influence on an individual's ability to seek domestic violence services. The goal of this grant proposal is to raise awareness for the needs of women within the faith community who are currently in or have ever experienced any form of domestic violence. Additionally, this grant proposal is to support and encourage cultural competency in service delivery to victims of domestic violence. Actual submission of this proposal for funding was not required for this project.
