Many adolescents have grown up in a society where technology has become increasingly more common to the way in which they interact. At the same time, technology can harm social relationships with others through a decrease in one's awareness of self and other people. A psycho-educational program is needed to allow high school students to exercise interpersonal communication, self-awareness, and others' awareness in order to maintain social relationships through the inevitable means of technology. This intervention used random acts of kindness as a platform for communicating and improving one's ability to empathize, socially engage, and manage relationships with other students.
