The purpose of this project was to write a grant to obtain funding for individual grief counseling and a bereavement support group for bereaved older adult Vietnamese Americans who are immigrants or refugees. This program will provide emotional support and education to this group. The proposed program would be offered through the Vietnamese Community of Orange County, Inc. The agency is a nonprofit agency that has been providing health care and social services to the Vietnamese American population residing within the county for over 30 years. Hospice Foundation of America was chosen as the potential funding source due to its specific interest in grief. The actual submission and/or funding of this grant was not a requirement for the successful completion of the project.
