Thesis (M.S.)--California State University, Fullerton, 2013.
Cloud technology is fairly new and emergent that provides storage, infrastructure and application services via internet while SaaS deliver software as a service. It eliminates the need to install and run the application on the user owned computers by simplifying maintenance and support. SaaS security issue has become increasingly significant and ensuring confidentiality, integrity and scalability of all the information that has been deployed on cloud has become the focus of problems. Access control mechanisms are the most important security mechanisms in cloud. Despite of having many individual and hybrid access control mechanisms, security concerns with third party usage and providing unwanted access privileges to the users is still a major concern. To solve this problem, I studied existing SaaS access control mechanisms in the industry and proposed as dynamic access allocation phenomenon based on user experience. The proposed model is explained and implemented on a simple hospital application and later all the different case scenarios along with their corresponding results are discussed. Finally, I have put forward some of the features of the proposed model which overcomes the issues that were found from research and analysis.
