520 $a Generation Digital uses the Newseum as a venue to discuss how we have been influenced by our use of digital technologies. A personal narrative directs this interactive experience through the key themes of how the Internet has impacted our social, political, educational and financial spheres. Areas of focus include social media, the online presence of the entertainment industry, online dating, political movements instigated or fueled by Internet action, online shopping, smart phones, video games and more.
520 $a This exhibit encourages visitors to participate in the discussion by recording videos and pictures to YouTube and Instagram in photo booths, using computers to post on Twitter and Facebook and instigating in-person conversations.
