Findings and conclusions. The web-based system proposed for this study was successfully designed and implemented and is currently in use by the NASA Aerospace Education Services Program and Teaching From Space Program. Statistical analysis indicates that the requests processed by the electronic system are completed faster and further in advance than those processed on paper. In addition, there are fewer backdated travel requests when the electronic system is used.
