Jimmy Galan, the protagonist in my novel, The Indoctrination , dreams of being a hero, believes that all cops must be heroic simply because they are cops. Therefore, as a rookie Detroit police officer, Jimmy Galan, prior to the law enforcement experience, believed that he, too, must be one. That notion would change.
