This was an exploratory study bounded by geographic location. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between locus of control and job satisfaction among employees in financial institutions such as banks and credit unions in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This study also examined the impact of gender and education level on that relationship. The Pearson product-moment correlation between work locus of control and job in general satisfaction was found to be significant and that relationship was found to be present when mediating variables such as gender and levels of education were examined. Male respondents in this study reported higher amounts of job satisfaction while individuals with higher levels of education were found to experience higher levels of job satisfaction.
