The primary problem identified in this study is the lack of adequate information system education for accountants in large, global, decentralized corporations. A secondary problem identified is the desire of corporations to use web-based instructional delivery for their education needs. These problems are addressed through the design and development of a web-based instructional prototype that provides a foundational overview of the information system of a large, global, decentralized, manufacturing corporation.
