Thesis (Ph.D.)--George Mason University, 2004.
There are a great number of benefits to be reaped from business process collaboration in supply networks, but the difficulties of participating in collaborative supply chains abound. To that end, this research effort aims to construct a decision framework for the adoption of supply chain collaboration technologies. The general hypothesis of this research is that the course of implementing inter-enterprise business process collaboration is highly dependent upon a range of economic, technological and cultural conditions. Through mixed-methods research, an empirical analysis of the individual determinants of collaboration's suitability will assist new adopters in understanding when each of the varied forms of collaboration solutions are most appropriate.
