Thesis (Psy.D.)--Fairleigh Dickinson University, 2006.

The current study, surveyed school psychologists and administrators from a large northeast urban school district. The two groups provided estimates of the time they felt school psychologists should and actually spend in each of the nine roles. In addition, both groups gave endorsements of their own personal satisfaction as well as their satisfaction with their counterpart (i.e., administrators' satisfaction with their school psychologist and school psychologists' satisfaction with their administrator). Results from the current study found varying degrees of support for the nine roles included in the survey. Two roles, assessment and consultation are given particular attention due findings contained in both past research and the current study. Future research directions and the upcoming reauthorization the IDEA 2004 are also discussed.Subjects--Topical Terms:
