The concept of the female creator is explored through a combination of critical essays and creative work. The importance of involving young girls in creative projects and exposing them to art in general is researched and discussed. The abilities that all women possess to be creative is measured against the value of the feminine gender in American culture. A collection of poems and photo-essays reflect the ideas of girlhood, womanhood, motherhood, intimacy, femininity and authority.
