This study describes the reason for, techniques used, and details of re-norming the Pearson Reid London House Quality Healthcare Employee Inventory (QHEI). This discussion begins with a literature review of testing and assessments utilized in the world today. The literature illustrates the importance of testing within medical and psychological terms, but also across different industries and applications within the workplace. Specifically, the paper provides a description of the scale measurements that comprise the QHEI, a detailed discussion on norming methods and procedures, and the need to re-norm the QHEI. Results from re-norming the QHEI showed a significant difference between the standard scores of the original norms and the standard scores of the re-normed QHEI. In addition, the new norms data provides a larger, nationwide representative sample specifically within the healthcare industry.
