Thesis (M.A.E.)--Pacific Lutheran University, 2005.
A major concern in education today is finding a way to meet the learning needs of every student. Too many students go through each school day without having the opportunity to demonstrate their talents and build off of their strengths. Their differences are not recognized and, often, they are all expected to learn in the same way. With this thought in mind, this research study was conducted to understand the role of multiple intelligences and differentiation in engaging honors students in a history classroom. The goal was to find out whether the use of multiple intelligences in the classroom to differentiate instruction engaged students and touch on their strengths.
