Pacific Symphony Orchestra's Class Act partnership was designed to be primarily a music appreciation-oriented program, with the intention of introducing and exposing orchestral music to as many students as possible. In general, the results from the teachers' survey revealed a high degree of cooperation in executing the program activities and joint determination to introduce orchestral music to the students.

Overall, the results indicated that 73% of the responding classroom teachers rated Class Act as "very good," and 26% rated it as "good." Moreover, 88% of the teachers believed that the goals of Class Act were clear and the communication between teachers and administrators was efficient. On classroom teachers training, 82% of the teachers found the overall Teacher Workshop to be "effective." Although a high percentage of the teachers (80%) found the existing teaching materials to be effective, many teachers (66%) also suggested that training videos should be provided to help the teachers.

Most of the instruction by the Pacific Symphony Orchestra musicians was presented in the introductory Prelude Assembly and the classroom Grade Level Lesson. The Prelude Assembly was rated "effective" by 82% of the teachers, while 80% of the teachers rated the Grade Level Lesson as "effective." When asked for suggestions on improving the Grade Level Lesson, the teachers' top choices were "more music playing" (29%), followed by "schedule additional lessons" (25%), although no single choice was favored as the majority. Nevertheless, based upon the narrative concerns of some teachers, it would be even more rewarding for the students to have more than one classroom lesson from the PSO musicians if at all possible.
