The issue among believers and non-believers appears to have reached a standstill regarding the discussion of whether God exists. There are, however, those who still believe that God exists and there are others who believe that God does not exist. Rather than discussing the issue of whether God exists or not, I wish to discuss the issue of whether a person is justified in believing that God exists. The belief in God is often justified on the basis of religious experiences. For this reason, I will consider whether a person is justified or not justified in believing the existence of God on the basis of religious experiences. By showing that religious experience are inadequate sources of justification for the belief in the existence of God, I will argue that we are not justified in believing that God exists on the basis of religious experiences.
