The purpose of this research was to determine the benefits of integrating an art therapy program into a school setting. A four-month art therapy program was temporarily incorporated into an already established high school curriculum halfway through an academic year. The role of the researcher was to develop and evaluate the art therapy program's effectiveness. Three examples of adolescent students engaged in the therapeutic process will be discussed. Additionally, through a literature review supporting the need for art therapy in schools, including the benefits of the therapeutic process for adolescents, the significance of art therapy scheduled into a school day will be demonstrated.
