Thesis (M.A.)--Georgetown University, 2011.
This paper assesses changes to China's strategic culture and presents novel primary source research on military strategic thinking in China. It presents strategic culture as complex, capable of change, and dynamic. Traditional, Maoist, and contemporary strategic principles are considered. Findings have broader implications for our understanding of how the People's Republic of China prepares for war in the future.
