The purpose of this study was to determine what intramural scheduling time or combination of times would best meet the scheduling preferences of students interested in participating in intramural sports at CSULB. Specific objectives included examining if there was a time or combination of times that was most convenient for students interested in participating in intramural sports, and examining if there were different time preferences between gender, grade level, residency and employment status. There were 253 students surveyed for their preferences.

The findings of the study indicate that students did have preferences for the days and times of their intramural programs. In addition, there were differences in preference between genders, grade levels, residency and employment status. The intramural department should consider the results of the study when planning and implementing future programs. If the results of the study are taken into consideration it may help to increase participation in programs.
