Thesis (Ph.D.)--Capella University, 2009.
Faculty must have an understanding of the student population in order to deliver relevant curricula pertaining to technology and the Internet as they apply to any given career field. By looking at various aspects of a student's perception, including opinions about Internet usage and how the Internet affects the nursing career, it is possible to develop a profile for students. In examining nursing students across North Carolina, 274 respondents were polled from 4 geographically dispersed schools. Using chi-squared, frequency, and grade of membership analysis, students were grouped into six different ideal sets. The characteristics of students in each set serve to create useful profiles that can then be used to improve curriculum development.
