This Dissertation Project includes three parts: An originally conceived and researched training manual/textbook entitled "The Body Alchemy of Psychodrama" designed to integrate somatic theory and therapies into the pedagogy of the practice of Psychodrama; a phenomenologically-based program evaluation of the effectiveness of the manual/textbook Scholarly Contextual Essay that explores the field-testing of the manual/textbook with six senior psychodrama as a new teaching tool for trainers and practitioners of Psychodrama; and therapists and trainers during a five-day intensive training workshop. The Scholarly Contextual Essay also contains a comprehensive review of the relevant research and literature and places the training manual/textbook and the results of its field-testing in the context of the relevant literature. The project represents an original scholarly and pedagogical contribution to the field, theory and practice of Psychodrama.
