This research seeks to uncover to what degree Wisconsin's climate plans align with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Sixth Assessment (IPCC). The four topics I address are: Overall Greenhouse Gas Emissions Modelling in Wisconsin's Climate Plans; Power Sector Emissions Reductions Goals; Coal, Natural Gas, and Oil Production; and Wisconsin Climate Plan alignment with the IPCC Working Group Three: Mitigation Pathways Compatible with Long-term to address these questions. The sections of the IPCC 6th Assessment Report used are The IPCC Working Group Three, Chapter Three: Mitigation Pathways Compatible with Long-term Goals and The IPCC Working Group Three: Mitigation of Climate Change, Summary for Policymakers. The Wisconsin plans used for the analysis are The Wisconsin Clean Energy Plan and Progress Report, The Governor's Task Force on Climate Change Report, and the Emissions Reduction Roadmap. Using a rubric to assess, Wisconsin's climate plans earn a B in their alignment with the IPCC.
