Occupational fraud continues to pose a significant threat as a pervasive issue affecting organizations globally, leading to substantial financial losses and reputational damage. The study aims to assess the effectiveness and limitations of anti-fraud controls, such as internal audits, whistleblower programs, and codes of conduct, specifically focusing on the impact of forensic accounting in mitigating occupational fraud. Data will be the ACFE 2024 Report to the Nations, which provides comprehensive insights into occupational fraud cases across multiple industries and organizational settings. Data will be collected and analyzed using descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, and linear regression to determine the impact of each anti-fraud measure on fraud outcomes. The study employs a quantitative methodology. Descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, and linear regression analysis are utilized to evaluate the impact of various anti-fraud measures on fraud outcomes. The study determined that forensic accounting significantly reduces the impact of fraud on financial organizational losses, identifying the most effective fraud prevention anti-fraud strategies. The study provided insights into effective anti-fraud strategies integrating forensic accounting to strengthen existing controls. It identified sector-specific challenges and provided practical recommendations for organizations, particularly SMEs, in implementing cost-effective, scalable anti-fraud measures tailored to their unique contexts. The study contributes to the growing body of knowledge on fraud prevention strategies, emphasizing the important role of advanced technologies such as data analytics and proactive data monitoring in forensic accounting practices.
