This quantitative study with a correlational-predictive design was intended to examine four components of PsyCap (hope, self-efficacy, resilience, and optimism) as possible predictors of subjective success of African American female entrepreneurs. The data for resilience had low reliability, and that predictor could not be included in the regression analysis. The study was based on the positive organizational behavior (POB) concept, Hope Theory, Social Cognitive Theory, and Attribution Theory. Primary data were collected anonymously on the SurveyMonkey platform, from a convenience sample of 93 volunteer African American female entrepreneurs recruited from the United States via Facebook groups. The survey questionnaire included the PCQ-24, used to measure psychological capital (PsyCap), and the Subjective Entrepreneur Success Assessment Scale (SES-AS). The data were analyzed using hierarchical multiple regression analysis. The results showed that the complete model including the three components of psychological capital that could be examined in this study (hope, self-efficacy, and optimism) explained more than one third of the total variance in the criterion variable, entrepreneur success (R2 = 0.399, adj. R2 = 0.379), and that result was statistically significant, F(3, 89) = 19.677, p < 0.001. The corresponding effect size was strong (Cohen's f2 = 0.664). Optimism was a statistically significant predictor of entrepreneur success when controlling for hope and self-efficacy ({CE}{ostrok} = 0.277, t = 2.799, p = 0.006). These findings may be used to design and improve training and support programs for African American female entrepreneurs.{A0}{A0}
