본 논문의 목적은 포스트모더니즘 시대에 그리스도인이 거룩한 삶을 살아가도록 돕기 위한 하나의 방편으로서 성경적 성 윤리 교육서를 개발하는 데에 있다. 포스트모더니즘(postmodernism)은 오늘날 목회가 마주한 시대적 사조다. 모더니즘에 대한 반작용으로 일어난 이 사조는 모던의 인간이 장악하려던 객관적 지식과 실재(reality)를 거부한다. 여기서 진리는 각 인간 공동체가 필요에 따라 선택한 사회적 구성물이다. 객관적 지식은 관점과 해석으로 치환되고, 이에 따라 실재는 해체된다. 극단적 다원주의와 상대주의로 귀결되는 이 세계에서 인간 자아는 효과적으로 해체되고 끊임없이 구성해야 할 것이 된다. 비단 이 시대에서 두드러지고 있는 성 정체성 혼란과 동성애의 위험뿐만이 아니라, 성(sexuality) 전반은 이제 목회에 있어서 더 이상 간과할 수 없는 부분이다. 남자와 여자, 인간 양성은 근원적인 질서와 삶의 출발을 나타내고, 이는 인간이 관계를 떠나 살 수 없음을 가리키기 때문이다. 성은 구원의 삶에서 큰 비중을 차지한다. 그리스도인이 거룩한 삶을 살도록 돕기 위해 성경적으로 성을 깨닫게 하는 일은 오늘날 목회의 중대한 과제이다.연구자는 논문의 목적을 이루기 위해 두 가지 구조로 접근하였다. 하나는 성에 대한 성경적·신학적 해설이며, 다른 하나는 이를 바탕으로 한 실제적인 성 윤리를 진술하는 것이다. 먼저, 첫 부분에서는, 1) 삼위일체 하나님과 하나님의 형상인 인간(1장), 2) 하나님의 언약과 언약적 삶, 그 언약의 유비로서 결혼(2장), 3) 예수 그리스도와의 연합 안에 있는 남자와 여자를 말한다(3장). 이는 참된 인간 이해와 성 윤리가 오직 창조주 하나님과 그분의 말씀에서 나온다는 확신에서 비롯되었다. 하나님은 인간을 삼위일체 하나님의 형상대로, 남자와 여자로 창조하셨다. 그리스도인은 성령 안에서 성부와 성자와 교제하며, 하나님의 성품을 반영하며 살아가는 존재이다. 하나님의 언약은 자신을 주시며 사랑하시는 하나님의 은혜 베푸심이다. 그리스도 안에서 성취된 이 언약은 성경에서 하나님과 그의 백성 간의 결혼 연합으로 그려진다. 하나님은 언약에 신실하시다. 인간은 신실하신 하나님께 응답하는 인격적인 존재이다. 남자와 여자의 참된 삶은 그리스도와의 연합에서 드러난다.두 번째 부분에서는, 1) 결혼 언약과 그 삶의 모습, 독신, 이혼, 재혼(4장), 2) 결혼 안에 있는 성관계와 하나님의 거룩한 선물인 성(5장), 3) 하나님 나라 백성의 성 윤리로서 십계명의 7계명과 산상수훈(6장), 4) 포스트모더니즘 이해와 그 특징적 성 문제(7장), 5) 용서와 치유, 복된 실재를 가져다주는 복음과 삶의 근원으로서의 교회, 성령의 인도하심을 받는 믿음의 삶을 말한다(8장).그리스도인은 예수 그리스도 안에서 하나님의 형상을 이루어가는 새 사람이다. 그들은 하나님 말씀 속에서 참된 인간성을 발견하며, 하나님의 성품(벧후 1:4)과 언약적 사랑을 반영하는 삶의 소명을 실현해가는 사람이다. 하나님은 실재가 없어 자신이 누군지 모르며 거할 곳이 없는 파편화된 인간을 구원하신다. 하나님은 궁극적인 실재이시다.

520 $a The purpose of this dissertation is to develop an educational book about biblical sexual ethics as a way of helping Christians have holy lives in the postmodern era. Postmodernism is a significant trend in modern society arising from an intellectual reaction to modernism. The fundamental principle rejects objective knowledge and reality considered common in human culture. In postmodern thought, "truth" is a social construct chosen by each human community seeking specific needs and purposes particular to that group of people. Therefore, objective knowledge is replaced by perspectives and interpretations, and the reality is dismantled. This philosophy results in extreme pluralism and relativism consequently the human self is deconstructed by language and constructed constantly.Not only the gender identity confusion and the hazards of homosexuality that is prominent in this era but also the overall human sexuality issues are now a factor to be considered that cannot be overlooked anymore in pastoral ministry. In fact, the sexuality of men and women represents the fundamental order and origin of life and indicates that humans cannot live outside of relationships. Sexuality is a crucial factor in the life of salvation. Contemporary ministers should teach Christians about sexuality that the Bible says to help them practice a holy life.This researcher established two structures to achieve the purpose of the thesis. One is a biblical and theological explanation of sexuality, and the second is a statement of actual sexual ethics. The first part covers the following subjects: 1) Triune God and man, as an Image of God (Chapter 1), 2) God's covenant and covenantal life, marriage as the analogy of the covenant (Chapter 2), 3) Men and women in the union with Jesus Christ (Chapter 3). These issues stem from the conviction that understanding true man and sexual ethics comes only from the words of the Creator God. God created humankind as man and woman, in the image of the triune God. Christians are beings who have fellowship with the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, in the Holy Spirit and reflect His divine nature in their life. God's covenant originates from His self-giving love and grace. Jesus Christ fulfilled the covenant. The Bible portrays it as a marital union between God and His people. God is faithful to His covenant and word. Man is a personal entity that responds to His faithfulness. One can discover the true lives of men and women in their covenantal union with Christ. The second part addresses the following topics: 1) The covenant of marriage and the appearance of life, singleness, divorce, and remarriage (Chapter 4), 2) Sex in marriage and sexuality as God's holy gift (Chapter 5), 3) The seven commandments and the Sermon on the Mount as sexual ethics of the people of God (Chapter 6), 4) Understanding of postmodernism and its characteristic sexual issues (Chapter 7), 5) The gospel that brings forgiveness, healing, and blessed reality, A church as a source of life, and A life of faith guided by the Holy Spirit (Chapter 8).A Christian is a new person who possesses the image of God in Jesus Christ. Believers discover true humanity in God's Word and realize the calling of life that reflects "divine nature" (2 Pet. 1:4) and God's covenantal love. God saves the fragmented man, who doesn't know who they are and have any place to live due to being without reality. God is the ultimate reality. Children of God testify to God by living together in faith and dwelling in the meta-narrative of the salvation of the Triune God. In Christ, who sacrificed His body on the cross, sexuality is revealed as holiness without shame.
