Bu tez calismasinda, cevrim ici sinavlarin yapildigi sunucudaki yuk dengesini saglamak amaciyla cevrim ici sinav cizelgeleme problemi ele alinmistir. Problemin cozumu icin oncelikle bir tamsayili programlama modeli gelistirilmistir. Gelistirilen model ile sinavlar en uygun zaman dilimlerine atanarak dengeli bir sinav cizelgesi elde edilmektedir. Calismanin uygulama asamasinda, Bursa Uludag Universitesi Muhendislik Fakultesi bunyesinde bulunan sekiz adet bolume ait veriler kullanilmistir. Calismada, sunucudaki yuk dengesinin bolumler ozelinde lokal olarak saglanmasi amaciyla dinamik bir yapi gelistirilmistir. Gelistirilen dinamik yapi sayesinde ilgili bolumun veri setiyle model calistirilarak sinav cizelgesi uzerinde optimizasyon yapilmaktadir. Olusturulan bu iteratif yapi ile sunucu yukunu azaltacak sekilde tekrar tekrar cozum elde edilmektedir. Boylece sunucuda maksimum yukun olustugu zaman diliminde bu yuku olusturan bolum ozelinde yuk dengeleme yapilmaya calisilmaktadir. Calismada onerilen cozum yaklasimi cesitli performans parametreleri acisindan degerlendirilmistir. Buna gore calismanin amaci dogrultusunda beklendigi uzere, iterasyon sayisi arttikca maksimum yukun olustugu zaman diliminde sinava giren maksimum ogrenci sayisinin azaldigi gozlemlenmistir. Bunun yani sira, gelistirilen yaklasimin 300 iterasyon boyunca calistirilmasi ile ulasilan sonuclardaki maksimum yuk degerlerine bakildiginda, sunucu kapasitesini asan maksimum yuk degerlerinin tatmin edici oranda oldugu gorulmektedir. Bu sonuclara bakilarak calismada gelistirilen cozum yaklasiminin iyi bir performans sergiledigi soylenebilir. Pandemi gibi ongorulemeyen durumlarin hayat akisini etkilememesi bakimindan cevrim ici sureclerin iyilestirilmesi zorlu olan surec icerisinde ekstra sorunlarin yasanmamasi icin onem teskil etmektedir. Bu bakimdan bu tez calismasinda ele alinan, cevrim ici sinavlarin yapildigi sunucudaki yuk dengesinin saglanmasinin, yuk dengesizliginden kaynakli olusabilecek sorunlarin onune gecebilecegi dusunulmektedir.

520 $a In this thesis, the online exam scheduling problem is discussed where it is aimed at balancing the load on the server on which the online exams are held. In order to solve the problem, first, an integer programming model is developed. With the developed model, a balanced exam schedule is obtained by assigning the exams to the most appropriate time slots. In the implementation phase of the study, data belonging to eight departments within Bursa Uludag University Faculty of Engineering are used. In the study, a dynamic structure is developed in order to provide the load balance on the server locally in terms of the specific load of each department. Thanks to the dynamic structure developed, the model is run with the data set of the relevant department and optimization is performed on the exam schedule. With this iterative structure created, a solution is obtained repeatedly in a way that reduces the server load. Thus, it is aimed at balancing the load in the time slot of the maximum load on the server specifically considering the department that causes this load. The proposed solution approach in the study is evaluated in terms of various performance parameters. Accordingly, as expected for the purpose of the study, it is observed that as the iteration number increases, the maximum number of students who took the exam in the time slot when the maximum load occurred decreases. In addition, when the maximum loads are examined after running the developed approach for 300 iterations, it is seen that the maximum loads exceeding the server capacity are satisfactory. Based on these results, it can be stated that the solution approach developed in the study performed well. It is important to improve online processes so that some unpredictable situations such as pandemics do not affect the flow of life and extra problems are not experienced during such difficult times. In this respect, it is thought that ensuring the load balance on the server for online exams, as discussed in this thesis, can prevent the problems that may arise from the load imbalance.
