The world of wind band music is diverse, eclectic, and creative. Works for wind band serve as a curricular tool in rehearsal halls across the world. This project, with the use of a new composition for wind band, serves as a tool for cultural and musical exploration and provides literature-specific teaching materials that will enhance the conductors understanding of Afro-Cuban rhythms, musical culture, and interpretation. Danzas will serve as a map for historical exploration, musical study and interpretation, and phrasal integrity and authenticity.
