The project director created detailed teaching principles that combine the elements of the discipline of biblical theology with elements of systematic theology. Chapter one discusses the reasons for and the objectives of this project. Chapter two addresses the theological reasons for including the grand narrative in the teaching at Cornerstone. The project director developed his theological reasoning based upon the authoritative teachings and example of Christ, Peter, Paul, and Luke. The main Scriptures discussed as relevant to the project concern Luke 24:25-27, 32; Acts 10:34-43; Acts 20:26-27; and Acts 26: 2-23. Chapter three discusses the practical reasons for the project. The discussion revolves around understanding the continued influence of Marcion's theology on Christianity today. Chapter three includes the application of teaching systematically and shares resources to help in that pursuit. The chapter ends with a list of teaching principles designed to carry out the project objectives. The principles created include: teach the Bible as one book; seek the connections that thread throughout the grand narrative; present the power of context, context, context; understand the importance of word studies; step back, see broadly; show how the grand narrative remains practical for the believer. Chapter four examines the influence of both expert and church evaluators upon the direction of the project. After working through suggestions and possible corrections suggested by the evaluators, the project director discusses the process of working through the concerns of the evaluators. Chapter five discusses the impact of the project, proposed ways the project will affect the teaching schedule. The chapter ends with a personal discussion on how the project affected the project director. The project director included six appendices. Appendices A, B, C, E, and F cover aspects of either the project's implementation, or further information about Cornerstone Church and the meeting that occurred between the project director and the leadership of Cornerstone Church. Appendix D has a graph designed to show the project director's understanding of what the connectivity of the grand narrative looks like in picture form.
