The software used as the basis of this study was designed by the researcher to aid a beginning basketball player with terms and plays using an interactive program. This study investigated the effects of computer-assisted instructions on learning defensive basketball. Twenty male and female basketball players ages 10 to 12 were tested to determine whether their skills could be improved by playing the game defensively. The study consisted of a written pretest, treatment, and post-test with a built in scoring feature. A dependent-sample t-test using a single-group pretest-posttest design was used to analyze the mean scores of the study. Results showed that post-test scores were significantly higher than pretest scores.
