This thesis focuses on the engagement of Jewish civil society organizations on policies to combat antisemitism in the EU member states: Germany and Poland, since the beginning of the 2000s. The rise of nationalist movements, the migration crises of 2015 and the COVID-19 pandemic affected the security of Jewish communities in both countries and led to increased antisemitism. Germany and Poland took different approaches in addressing the rising security challenge to their Jewish communities and in engaging their Jewish civil society organizations in the process of combating antisemitism. This study identifies how Jewish civil society organizations in the chosen EU member states can influence polices aimed at combating antisemitism. It proves that the influence on the policy to combat antisemitism differs according to the policy area and the willingness of the respective government.

520 $a תזה זו מתמקדת במעורבות של ארגוני החברה האזרחית יהודית בגרמניה ובפולין ,מהחברות באיחוד באירופי ,בכל הנוגע למדיניות המאבק באנטישמיות במדינות אלו מאז תחילת שנות ה.2000- עלייתן של תנועות לאומניות ,משברי ההגירה של 2015ומגפת ה 19-COVID-השפיעו על ביטחון הקהילות היהודיות בשתי המדינות והובילו להגברת האנטישמיות .גרמניה ופולין נקטו גישות שונות בהתמודדות עם האתגר הביטחוני הגובר לקהילותיהן היהודיות ובשיתוף ארגוני החברה האזרחית יהודית שלהן בתהליך. מחקר זה מזהה כיצד ארגוני החברה האזרחית יהודית במדינות החברות באיחוד האירופי יכולים להשפיע על מדיניות המאבק באנטישמיות .עם זאת ,ההשפעה על מדיניות המאבק באנטישמיות שונה בהתאם לתחום המדיניות ולנכונות הממשלה בהתאמה.
