The researcher sought to identify which leadership practices elementary schools felt influence bilingual programs. A total of three research questions were presented to a minimum of 10 principal participants in the study. A qualitative case study was used to allow the researcher to explore the real-life experiences of principals and their understanding and perceptions of leadership in bilingual programs. Information was obtained through interviews and questionnaires. Data were collected from participants currently employed in various bilingual programs throughout Texas. Results are instrumental in the understanding of what leadership practices active principals felt had the most impact on bilingual programs and how they could be implemented to create more successful bilingual programs.

520 $a El investigador busco identificar que practicas de liderazgo los directores de las escuelas primarias sienten que influyeron los programas bilingues. Se presento un total de tres preguntas de investigacion a un minimo de 10 participantes de directores en el estudio. Se utilizo un estudio de caso cualitativo para permitirle al investigador explorar las experiencias de la vida real de los directores y su comprension y percepciones del liderazgo en los programas bilingues. La informacion se obtuvo mediante entrevistas y cuestionarios. Se recopilaron datos de los participantes actualmente empleados en varios programas bilingues a traves de Texas. Los resultados son fundamentales para comprender que practicas de liderazgo sintieron los directores que tuvieron el mayor impacto en los programas bilingues y como podrian implementarse para crear programas bilingues mas exitosos.
