This study examined the use of arts integration at the elementary level, specifically in grades two through four. The data collection included a purposeful sample of teachers from Western Pennsylvania school districts. The qualitative study included 30-minute semi-structured interviews with twelve different teachers. An examination from the teachers' perspectives provided valuable insight into teachers' attitudes, practices, and perceptions related to challenges they might face when implementing art instruction into their classrooms. Data analysis was descriptive. The researcher transcribed the interviews and coded the results for emerging themes. Deductive coding was used to categorize the data into three main topics, (1) teachers' attitudes; (2) teachers' practices; and (3) teachers' challenges. Within the categories, themes for the data emerged. The researcher examined the themes told from teachers' perspectives and found the differences and connections among them. The themes included (1) beneficial results for all children; (2) content integration methods and strategies for all students; (3) utilizing resources and collaborating with other professionals; (4) obstacles impacting arts integration; and (5) lack of confidence from insufficient training.
