This research aimed to further theory in voice and Top Management Team's (TMT). The overall goal of this research was to establish a correlation or relationship that helps to explain how the three TMT leaders/members within the Navy Triad leadership team, comprised of the Commanding Officer (CO), Executive Officer (XO), and Command Master Chief (CMC), do or do not use their voice as it relates to job satisfaction and TMT cohesion. This research used exchange theory as the foundation and developed a hypothetic deductive model based in established theory to develop six hypotheses and contributed to theory by testing these hypotheses using self-reported surveys.

This study adds to the body of knowledge by identifying the partially mediated relationship between voice, trust, and TMT cohesion. This study contributes by providing a different look into cohesion, specifically within the TMT, and expanding research on voice. This study helps researchers, as well as leaders/members within a TMT, better understand how voice relates to job satisfaction and TMT cohesion, allowing the development and implementation of better policies and practices.
