In this study, the researcher looked at emotional intelligence and perceived leader integrity to determine if either was a predictor of unethical behavior. Of the 181 participants that completed the online survey, 59.8% were male, 40.2% were female, and ages ranged from 17 to 70. The survey consisted of four scales: the Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale, the Perceived Leader Integrity Scale, the Deshpande and Joseph Ethical Behavior Scale, and the Kaptein Ethical Behavior Scale. Using multiple regression analyses, the results showed almost no relationship between emotional intelligence and perceived ethical behavior, a moderate relationship between perceived leader integrity and ethical behavior, and that emotional intelligence does not moderate the relationship between perceived leader integrity and perceived ethical behavior.
