The Internet has changed the way of communication and information exchange. Messages can be sent at any time to any where. This fast-paced medium has created a whole new world to date. The beauty of the Internet is that information is no longer limited and everyone could be a publisher. 520 $a This study seeks to determine if PR practitioners are aware of rumors on the Internet and if so, whether they are prepared to deal with them. Understanding how PR professionals are aware of rumors could help them better observe the impact that the Internet has caused upon practice and develop new ways of controlling rumors.
